RETAIL SALES

Management Background

 

Excelled in the position as manager for several major retail firms.  Performed all functions relevant to that of store manager.

 

Ø       Utilized extensive sales background; comfortably proficient and knowledgeable in applicable sales techniques and the art of friendly persuasion.  Honed verbal communication skills.  

Ø       Orchestrated the execution of, and fully participated in clerical, as well as, physical inventories.

Ø       Coordinated and organized all company-directed and in-house sales promotions. Performed mark-up / markdown procedures involving store inventory on a daily basis. Responsible for sales floor moves according to plan-o-gram. Created displays for promo stock, and organized promotional signage.

Ø       Responsible for the cash handling and over-all banking for the business.

A synopsis of experience and qualifications acquired from employment through IBM and CELESTICA over a seven-year period.

 

FUNCTIONAL TEST  (among other positions held).

 

Performed all required functional tests on production line PWBs.

 

Able to detect physical flaws, faults, and inconsistencies before actual functional tests.

 

Well versed in all pre-test procedures. Familiar with test set-up on both IBMs AS and RS testers.

 

Aware of proper card handling i.e. ESD procedures, etc.

 

Became an IR convection oven operator with CELESTICA, and eventually assumed the

position as a lead in the IR operation.

 

Was promoted to QUALITY TECH and became responsible for all quality issues for an entire production line.

Completely knowledgeable in Q-manager activities (including Q reconciliation on inventories).

Accounted for all defective cards through Q-manager, and placed them in proper debug Q location.

 

Trained others in functional test, SMT, and IR departments.

 

As a QUALITY TECH; accounted for scrap, addressed scrap issues, held and conducted meetings with departmental management and personnel, and performed a myriad of functions associated with the position.

I've used Phila. PA as a central location, but through those years,  I held the position of manager under KOBACKER in many different locations (Albany, NY, Phila., PA, Camden, NJ, Cinnaminson, NJ). In 1993, the company was then acquisitioned by VOLUME SHOES (Payless). All assets and store locations of KOBACKER were turned over to PAYLESS. This "buy-out" also included the management team. I managed a store in NJ before accepting a management position and transfer to Rochester, MN. in 1995.
